Hyperemesis gravidarum

It is well known that a lot of women experience some degree of nausea and sickness early in pregnancy. But for some, this illness can be so debilitating that they find it hard to keep any food or fluids down. This is called hyperemesis gravidarum, and the situation can get desperate to the point of hospital admission.
What most people don't know, is that with the right expertise this condition can be medically managed without causing harm to the unborn baby. Professor Williams offers individually tailored treatment plans to guide women through these difficult weeks of pregnancy including immediate prescriptions, close email support and follow-up consultations - all available at short notice.

Pre-pregnancy counselling

For women who are planning fertility treatment, or have a pre-existing medical condition that may affect a future pregnancy, a fertility clinic or specialist will sometimes ask for a more detailed assessment - a clean bill of health for future pregnancy. If any further blood tests or investigations are required, Professor William's office can arrange this at The Harley Street Centre for Women or other locations if needed, to make sure that there is nothing standing in the way of a healthy pregnancy.
